Re: Call to action from the USCCB
Don't need to. Both of our senator and the rep from our district will be against it.

Sorry to hear that but I don't think that means one should be silent. 2 of the 3 I have only one is a supporter and co author of it. The other two are probably a lost cause but they will hear from me none the less. There job is to represent the people of there state. If they can not do so properly then they sould leave and alow someone who can.
Sorry minny rant

You ought to write them anyways to thank them and encourage them! It takes courage to stand up for what is right.

My Senator is against it as well....he's a Democrat that is going along with whatever the party dictates.....but he has heard from me before, he will again......and if he goes against the life issues and this stance for religious freedom I will do my best to vote him out next time. I will support his opponent and actively work to get him out.
We must make our voices heard regardless.

Re: Call to action from the USCCB
I signed both the Congressional and Senatorial letters, but living in Manhattan, NYC I doubt that it will do any good, as my Congress Woman, Carolym Maloney and Senators, Schumer and Gillibrand are Obama true believers.

Re: Call to action from the USCCB
Already written to Senators Graham and Demint, as well as Congressman Mulvaney. All three are opposed to this HHS intrusion and will fight against any attempt of the Obama administration to impose their beliefs on the Church. Now we Pray!

Why are you sorry to hear that? I thought being against the HHS mandate was a Good Thing. The USSCB is aganst it; my congress-critters are against it. What's not to like?

Sorry it is a misscommunication. The link is for a new bill to restore rights to not have the HHS mandate imposed. It is for Respect for Rights of Conscience Act H.R. 1179, S. 1467. This is a bill we want pushed through that the USCCB is behind.

You probably should be wary of using the phrase "call to action". Call to Action is a splinter Catholic group that advocates for a number of counter-doctrinal positions and has been excommunicated by the Church.

Re: Call to action from the USCCB
I have contacted both of my senators and my congressman and I have sent a message to the White House expressing my hope that the HHS mandate will be rescinded. All people of faith need to hold their representative's feet to the fire. We will not forget about this issue when the next election rolls around. People of faith cannot allow themselves to be placed in the back of the bus.
