the Prayer Before a Crucifix indulgenced prayer for Fridays in Lent

There is a plenary indulgence available today for praying the Prayer Before A Crucifix after communion (obtainable on all Fridays in Lent).

There is a specific version given in the Enchiridion of Indulgences, as well as an authorized English translation given in the English printed edition of that book.

Do you think it matters if one uses a different translation of the prayer?

The reason I ask is not out of rigidity or scrupulosity, but because when it comes to indulgences, the things required are very specific - i.e. as in the examples from the Bible that back up the Church's teaching about indulgences: "go wash in the pool of Siloam" [not "just go wash in any old pool."]

Hello,

I personally do not think that it matters if you use either the Latin version or the English version. Personally, I recite the English version during my morning and evening prayers. I also recite the English version after I recite and pray the Stations of the Cross.

I know the Latin version is also fine (unfortunately I am pretty weak in Latin), but I mean differing versions of it in English.
