Default Almost There! Will I Get an Award or Something??

I am just about at 5,000 posts (actually I'm over that but I changed my user name (yeah, I know what it means but I didn't know that when I changed it)). What will happen when I hit 5,000 posts? Will I receive a 3-day cruise to the Bahamas? Or a $25 Target gift card? Or a gold star? Or will I become a Forum Master or a Forum Elder or a Forum Pest or what?

Or will nothing happen at all except that my post number will read 5,000?

I can hardly wait!

Dang. How many posts does it take to actually move up from a regular member?

Take it from someone with over 5000 posts. Nothing happens unless you've been here for a long time.

Happy dancing.

And a bouquet.

I'm not so sure about that. Some of my posts have probably pushed me down about 100 steps.

Thank you! Gee, only about another thousand posts to go. Another thousand. Another thousand. Another.......thou..sand........

I personally think that anyone who reaches 5,000 posts should be a Forum Pest and if they reach it within six months after joining they should be a Forum Gadfly. I'm sure Socrates would approve.

That amount of time required was a surprise for me. Wow. I'll probably make it before you but you'll have about a million posts by then.

Oh I want cake! Even if it is a lie. I definitely need some grief counseling. I'm just overwrought with sadness and fear that I will be banned before I ever move up.

Uh - that's just a joke. The banning thing is just a joke.

Oh wow! That's good. I suppose it has something to do with driving down the Information Superhighway?

What happened to the Ignore thread? It disappeared! Oh wait, I know. Everyone ignored it and it just died. That is a shame.
