Default Prayers needed for my husband and our marriage

Hello everyone,

I'm glad to be here. I definitely need the support right now. I hope I can return the favor to all those prayer intentions already asked for in the forum. I pray for a big blanket to cover us all and give us peace of mind and heart and ease our pain.

My husband was diagnosed with chronic renal failure October 2011. We have been pursuing treatment ever since. He is undergoing three time a week dialysis and we have tested our first three candidates for a hopeful kidney transplant. A lot has happened in such a short time period it is hard to begin.

We are stressed, tired, overwhelmed and to to say the least, ready for this to be behind us. We have three beautiful children, daughter 6, son 3 and son 8 months. I always believed we could survive anything because we all loved each other.

A week ago Sunday, my husband told me our marriage was not as important to him as it was to me. This started a huge breakdown in my belief that our marriage was sound. He also told me he had fallen out of love with me. He cares for me, and tells me I'm his best friend, but now we're living in the same house but not as a married couple. This has devastated me.

We are going through marriage counseling and had our first session. It was very productive and we've been very kind to each other through this process. We have talked more directly and truthfully in this past week than we have for months. He has agreed to work through the process and give us a chance but in the counseling session he said he felt the marriage was over.

I have begun working on myself and re-evaluating all my own issues. I realize now I haven't been kind to my husband through this process and it has definitely hurt him. I have been angry and directing that anger towards him. Now I see everything clearly. I'm really making an effort to be the wife to him I want him to have, treating him as the gift from God he is. I see him softening towards me. This is a start.

I ask now for prayers and any advice some of you may have to share who have survived a separation or near divorce situation. I cannot accept divorce as an option with our three children involved. I love my husband and I want him in my life. I want to change and I want us to be happy.

Please God, hear my prayers and send me a swift blessing and hope we can repair our damaged relationship. And please heal my husband and bring him back to me.

Jennifer

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

The LORD bless you
and keep you;
the LORD make his face shine on you
and be gracious to you;
the LORD turn his face toward you
and give you peace.” Num 6:24-26

Praying for you and your husband.

Hi Jennifer,

Good St. Joseph helped save my marriage in 2003. My wife had another serious health issue and then told me that she wanted a divorce. I can remember the exact date. I told her there would be no divorce that I took a vow before God and launched into a crusade of prayer asking St. Joseph to intervene. I asked everyone I knew to pray for us. I told them my marriage needed some prayers. EVERYONE I asked promised their prayers. Daily Mass, many confessions, counseling, rosary after rosary, support from my internet friends. I have told everyone how "we were prayed through it."

The result: my wife recovered and our marriage is better than ever.

I just wanted to give you encouragement and ask you to start praying to St. Joseph. We will join you in prayer to him as well.

This is wonderful advice. I truly believe that the most effective thing that you can do here is to pray as hard as you possibly can. Pray the rosary every day!

Even if things seem impossibly hopeless, remember that God could intervene, resolve your husband's health issues and bring your marriage closer then it has ever been in the very near future. In the meantime, just carry your cross and remember that every time you persevere through a sleepless night or feeling of desparation you are glorifying Jesus and sacrifice He made for us!

God bless! My prayers are with you and your husband.

May the Lord look down with kindness and favor upon your marriage and bless you both with the grace of reconciliation. May the Holy Spirit pour his love into your husband's heart that he may rekindle his love for you.

Jesus, healer of all the wounded, look with love upon this couple and heal that which is hurting them and causing a separation in their marriage.

Amen

You all have brought tears to my eyes. God bless you all. I have been praying like never before, asking St. Joseph, Mother Mary, Padre Pio, St Jude, St. Anthony, St. Rita and St. Monica to pray for us. I have asked St. Michael to protect me and my marriage during these dark days when I know the evil one is preying on our weaknesses. I believe God can heal our marriage and in my greatest hope, this happened to ultimately bring us closer, grow us as individuals and a couple and make our marriage stronger.

Thank you so much for sharing your personal story, stjoe. That is amazing grace right there.

Jennifer, stjoe4u2 is absolutely right! My husband and I have been through some horrible, horrible times. Years ago, I began to pray to St. Joseph for help. (My husband's middle name is Joseph, so I thought he'd be the right saint to pray to!) Anyway, St. Joseph has always come through for me. He has answered so many of my prayers, especially those concerning my marriage. I'll be praying for your family...

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art you among women and blessed is the Fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Remember, O most pure spouse of Mary, and my dearly beloved guardian, St. Joseph, that never was it known that anyone who invoked your care and requested your help was left without consolation.

Inspired with this confidence, I come to you, and with all the ardor of my spirit I commend myself to you. Do not reject my prayer, O Foster Father of the Savior, but graciously receive and answer it. Amen!

Be at ease because God will handle your situation. Try to find calm, and remember God is with you. May God bless your husband and you and those with you. Have faith, and pray.

Prayers for you husband and for your marriage, and especially for your children, and for you, that God will shorten this trial,and carry you through it.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with Thee.
Blessed art Thou among women,
and Blessed is the Fruit
of Thy Womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host -
by the Divine Power of God -
cast into hell, satan and all the evil spirits,
who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection,
implored your help or sought your intercession,
was left unaided.
Inspired with this confidence,
I fly to you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother;
to you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate,
despise not my petitions,

but in your mercy hear and ans

Again thank you. These prayers and encouragement mean so much to me! God's will be done. St. Joseph please pray for me and my husband, Joshua. Pray for a reconciliation of heart and mind and body. Please Mother Mary bring this prayer to your precious Son and ask him to bless us, and all who are involved including our innocent children and all those who are praying for us.

Jesus I trust in you. JESUS I trust in you. Jesus I trust in you.

Praying for you and your husband; and entrusting you both and your marriage to Our Blessed Mother for her guidance:

Jesus, King of Divine Mercy. We trust in You!

We take refuge under thy protection,
O Holy Mother of God;
despise not our prayers for Jennifer and her husband
in their necessities,
but deliver them always from all dangers,
O glorious and blessed Virgin. Amen.
