Default What do you do on Good Friday?

What do you do on Good Friday? I have only been a Catholic 3 years as of this Easter Vigil. I have been to the Stations of the Cross at 3pm, but that is it other than fasting. I am working a little in the morning and then leaving the office and thought of watching the Passion of the Christ and then going to Stations of the Cross. Not sure what else to do, or what we should do as a family (we have a 2 1/2 year old daughter.) God Bless.

I go to the Good Friday liturgy at church. Veneration of the Cross. I think about Jesus' sacrifice to me. I pray, and thank Him. I'm going to try and stay away from fun things tomorrow, like being on FB.

Heavier penance than usual.

I will participate in ecumenical Via Crucis taking place in city centre. Then to Good Friday liturgy at 3pm, and in the evening I plan to go to a Lutheran church to listen to Bach's (?) St. Luke Passion.

I wake up, have breakfast, and do penance. I will have a small supper of fish and chipd, my breakfast won't even equal a meal. Water only.

You could also start the Divine Mercy Novena for an indulgence.

We normally don't listen to the radio, watch tv, etc...In years past, we have watched The Passion of Christ (Mel Gibson) in the evening. Of course, fasting and abstinence and we'll go to Church tomorrow night and tonight also.

I'm trying to figure out what we will do tomorrow. My husband always takes the day off. Our church is having prayer at 9:00 am and then services at 3:00 and then a simple soup supper....it's the hours in-between all of that and then the evening that I don't know what to do! With 4 kids keeping quiet doesn't happen very easily and I'm not a spend a lot of time in prayer kind of person and don't really do spiritual reading I struggle with what is "allowed" and what's not.....
