Default Re: New Virginia Law Protects Catholic Adoption Agencies

Several excerpts :

Quote:

“Prospective parents who come to faith-based child placement agencies such as Catholic Charities do so at their own choosing, and most do so because they share the beliefs and values espoused by organizations such as ours,” McNulty said April 11.

“To force faith-based adoption agencies to violate their core beliefs is not only questionable in the constitutional area, but also hurts the public good by removing the freedom for such couples to select only those organizations which share their beliefs. This legislation protects those families and agencies.”

. . .

Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell signed the legislation into law on April 9.

“Private, religious-based adoption agencies are a major asset to our communities as they work diligently to find loving, caring, stable homes for children in need of care,” he said.
... A governor who understands freedom. How cool is that ?

Gov. Bob McDonnell demonstrates rectitude where so many other "law" makers, judges and governors have failed dismally by attempting to impose gay adoption on the rest of us.
