The only thing I know about meatloaf is that it is one of my favorite foods.

I spent months calling in requesting a three-peat of the three longest songs I could think of (In a Gadda da Vida (17 min), Stairway to Heaven live (13 min), and the live version of The End by The Doors (17 min)). He always turned me down, right up until the night he was unexpectedly told that it was to be his last night. Most of his last hour as a DJ for that station was spent playing my three songs for 47 minutes of commercial-free, uninterrupted music. It was pretty cool. He got a nasty call from the program manager halfway through but there wasn't anything they could do to punish him at that point.

So much win. There are two DJs here who not so long ago moved station from BBC Radio 2 to 6 Music (still BBC). One of the provisos of them doing this was that they were to be allowed to play whatever they wanted, and the BBC agreed. So one afternoon, they played the full 23 min long version of Pink Floyd's Echoes. It was epic.

Re: The LONGEST song you enjoy listening to?
I met a guy in college who said that he hadn't heard a song over 7 minutes long that he did not like. I feel somewhat similarly. My three favorite long songs are A Change of Seasons (Dream Theater), Mirror of Souls (Theocracy) and The Odyssey (Symphony X) -- all of which clock in at 23-24 minutes. I know DT has some longer songs that I also like, but ACoS will always be my favorite and the one I'm most inclined to listen to over and over again.
It's been awhile since I have listened to Fates Warning's "A Pleasant Shade of Grey" (which is about 55 minutes long). This thread makes me want to give that one a listen.

As per the title, what's the longest single song you enjoy listening to?
Being a progressive rock musician, my personal favourite is Mike Oldfield's Amarok, which is an hour long.

 One hour?!
Bed of Roses for 6 and a half minutes.
