Default Meet and Greet # 87

Welcome to CAF!

Tell us a little about yourself.

For newcomers, just click the "Post Reply" button located just above this message. A "post reply" editor will then appear. Type your message and hit the "Submit Reply" button.

Feel free to then wander around and check things out.

Again, thanks for joining us here at Catholic Answers Forums.

May God bless you and yours,
........................................

By the way...this is not a question and answer thread so please do not post questions in this thread, as they will generally go unanswered.

This is merely where you introduce yourself to the community.

p.s., Want to start a new conversation ("thread") or ask a question? Here's how it's done:
  1. Find a forum that covers your topic. There's a list on CAF's home page.
  2. Enter the forum by clicking its name. You'll then see a list of conversations or topics (called "threads" in forum-speak).
  3. Look for the "New Thread" button at the top of this list. Click it to start your own topic.
  4. You will then see a standard text editor. Just enter a title and a description of what you want to talk about. Click "submit" and you're all done.
p.p.s, the earlier Meet and Greet #86 is located here.

Hello there! As can be seen, I'm not a Catholic at all or even a Christian of any denomination, but recently did a course called "Who's who in the Bible" because I felt I was missing a lot, what with Christianity having such an influence in Europe for the past two millenia and how it still influences people's lifes and ideas throughout the world to this day. Haven't read the entire Bible yet but I don't think that is humanly possible in 8 weeks XD Or at least not if you want to do it with care and attention.
I know hardly anything about all the different variants of Christianity and how they see life and religion, and as I'm not aware of any religous people among friends or acquaintances, I'm trying to read up on this on the internet.

Basically, I'll be lurking your forum for a while, hope you don't mind I figured it would be polite to introduce myself though. So, hi!

By the way, the welcome message ("Why not make your first post today by saying "hello" in our latest Meet and Greet thread. Drop on in and say "Hi!") still links to the old thread, #86.

Hello!

I am very shy and have never posted on a forum before, so I am not quite sure how to best introduce myself. Hopefully my little paragraph isn't too boring. I have been a Catholic my whole life, but I find that I am always discovering new things about the faith.

I hope everyone has a very nice day!

Hi everyone!

I am a convert to the faith from Baptist and Pentecostal roots. As my user name implies, I am just a pilgrim on my way to Jesus. I hope that my faith journey will be enhanced by any friends I encounter and that I can be a blessing to others with my own journey's story.

God Bless and Peace!

Greetings everyone. I just joined today, I am a life-long Catholic from Ontario, Canada and am simply interested in immersing myself more in my faith. I've recently discovered EWTN television and Salt and Light television here in Canada and have learned so much! I'm anxious to bring my humble contributions to this group!

God bless.

Hello all. I am new and join this site today with a very heavy heart as I have been dealing with a deeply painful personal matter.

I am grateful I have this forum and have been getting tremendous strength the past many months from our blessed mother. Most espeically with the Novena to our Lady of Mount Carmel.

Thank you mother, and for all of you for being a part in my journey of faith. My prayers are with you.

Hi Jonathan, I've found a deep spiritual growth with Relevant Radio. I'm not sure if you can find it on the air where you are in Canada, but I'm sure you could listen to it on-line. It's fully dedicated to our Catholic faith and it may be a source of inspiration for you. God Bless

Hi everyone,

I am here to find peace, away from mental abuse and bullying at where i work. there's been a lot going on and i was at the verge of committing suicide and almost wanted to end my 8 week pregnancy because where i live, pregnant women don't get job opportunities and i just didn't want to get stuck. Now that i am pregnant, i am stuck here and there's so much mental anguish, even from people who were close to me and now afraid to hang out with me because i am a bully victim.

I hope i can meet people who can pray with me, guide me in prayer and offer me advice.

thanks for having me.

Found this site while I was searching for information of a non-biased nature after reading the slanted news in the Philadelphia paper. As usual, this paper highlights and distorts a great number of issues affecting Catholicism and this mornings issue is no exception.

I hope to use this resource frequently.
