Default Biden says campaign bumper sticker is 'Bin Laden is dead and GM is alive'

Biden says campaign bumper sticker is 'Bin Laden is dead and GM is alive'

From The Detroit News: http://www.detroitnews.com/article/2...#ixzz1tgH2frnw
Quote:
Vice President Joe Biden says the campaign's re-election theme is simple.

"If you're looking for a bumper sticker to sum up how President Obama has handled what we inherited, it's pretty simple: Osama bin Laden is dead and General Motors is alive," Biden said Thursday at New York University. "Gov. Romney is counting on our collective amnesia. But Americans know that we cannot afford to go back to the future."

Obama has talked about the auto bailout dozens of times over the past two years, making it a central plank in his re-election strategy.

Last month, Biden talked at length about the auto bailout at a United Auto Workers hall in Toledo after GM denied him permission to make a political speech inside a GM plant.

"(President Obama) made the tough call. And the verdict is in: President Obama was right and his critics were dead wrong," Biden said last month.

Biden has criticized former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney for writing an op-ed titled "Let Detroit Go Bankrupt" and he noted Romney said a bailout would make GM "the living dead."

Biden said the nation has "living proof" that GM is alive and the auto industry as a whole has added 200,000 jobs since its low point.

I know that Elk County, PA is very happy about both.

So Obama is campaigning on merging state and industry, and making a no brainer decision?

I suppose those two things would appeal to his base.

I hope and pray that Obama does not get a second term as President.

Whoa, I know someone in real life from St. Mary's PA. She's a very religious girl. Small world.

There should be a snappy bumper sticker about stealing the fully funded salaried pensions of Delphi, once part of Gm, to fund their "save" of GM. Maybe they can sneak in some words about the lawsuit, or how they're fighting discovery. Or maybe something about how Obama protects all women, except secretaries, and except widows who will get only about a third of their promised pension, and no health benefits. Maybe a picture of dogfood on their plate, while the union employees receive a full pension and all insurance benefits too. Yeah, Obama was in charge of GM while those decisions were made.

Same for the Detroit area. It's a pretty good slogan!

I'm not supporting Obama for president. But even a Canadian, would have to admit. It was a gutsy call, and a daring operation. Now saving GM that would seem like a no-brainer.

I still haven't decided who to vote for, but if the Republican party actually nominates Gov. Romney it'll make it a pretty easy choice...

But that aside, it IS a pretty good bumper sticker... I can imagine on the back of my car in October. Sure beats "Drop Dead Detroit!"

How so? First off I would think the American public doesn't care if we offend Pakistan by sending troops into their lands to find a terrorist (I certainly don't they've been unhelpful allies...), second if the SEALS team happened to fail then you just sweep it under the carpet and hope no news team takes wind of it.

In short I feel "Sign this to become the President who killed Osama" seems like a no-brainer to me.

Isn't Ford in Detroit? How are they doing?

Maybe Uncle Joe should just stick to his "Summer of Recovery" meme.

It took a lot of confidence in our "special forces" (no disrespect intended). Our presidents have ended up with egg on their face before for trusting the same. You could argue that the SEAL team had pretty good reputation. But, if you ever been involved in anything. You know that luck can leave your *** hanging out. So, the president made a tough call. It all worked out for the best, and it's time to move on.

The slogan is much more accurate than "mission accomplished".

According to Leon Panetta, then-director of the Central Intelligence Agency the no brainer decision that Obama slept on for 16 hours was then punted to three-star admiral and former Navy SEAL William McRaven - also known as the fall guy for Obama had the mission gone bad.

Listening to Obama run his mouth about Bin Laden is kind of like John Kerry''s (did you know he was in Vietnam for 3 months?) campaign in 2004.
