Default Please pray for Fox8 News anchor Stefani Schaefer's husband and her family

Cleveland, Ohio ~ Stefani Schaefer is the sweetest woman, every time I watch her on the morning news she just beams with love for her husband and family. My husband has met her several times, and tells me all the time how that light shines through her even in person.
Tragedy has befallen her family with an horrific accident. Her husband was severely injured on a construction site, and has suffered severe brain injury.

Please join me in praying for this beautiful family, for her husband and for her and their children.

IN her words:

Quote:
“Dear friends. Last Friday, April 27, my world collapsed. My husband, best friend and soul mate fell 12 feet off scaffolding while working at a construction site. He was rushed to Hillcrest and once they realized his head trauma was so extensive and severe, he was lifeflighted to a level 1 trauma center. I was able to see him just before he was lifeflighted-Wayne carried me and Roger’s mom into that room. It was the most horrific sight I had ever experienced-I held his face and told him how much I loved him, that he was my world, I told him to keep fighting, talked about Race and Siena. He was reacting-it was amazing. I know he heard every word I said. Roger was diagnosed with severe head fractures, severe brain bleeding and brain bruising. Friday evening, the swelling got to be too much, so doctors performed a craniectomy, where they removed the side of his skull to allow the brain to swell outside and not down to the brain stem which would be fatal. That night, my mother brought our children Race and Siena to the hospital-we were told for them to be there. During surgery, my children, mother, Roger’s mom, my friends, many of my co-workers and even some of my bosses, picked me up off the floor, held me and prayed with me. We said the Rosary all during Roger’s surgery. It made us all feel so strong during my darkness hours. That group of amazing people gave me strength to want to live-because I was dying inside. That surgery and all the prayers saved him that night-NO question. He is still in a coma and has been fighting for his life every single moment since then. His strength blows me away (and I think the doctors might be pretty impressed too) This past week has been such a blur for me, as I have been in such a state of shock, disbelief and complete and utter grief. But I have to keep going, for Roger and for our children.”

"The Fox 8 family has come together to hold up Roger, Stefani and her family in fervent and on-going prayers," Channel 8 spokesperson Kevin Salyer said Monday. "Per Stefani's request, we ask that her extended family of Fox 8's faithful viewers and friends do the same."

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death
Amen.

St. Jude, pray for them!

Our Father,
Who art in heaven,
hallowed be Thy name;
Thy kingdom come;
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

St. Raphael, Minister of divine healing, by the grace and mercy of the Lord of Hosts, we beg thy intercession and assistance for thy servant Roger and the comfort of his beloved wife and family. Even as you assisted Tobit and his family by the will of God, so now we seek thy help and healing.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Please continue to pray for Roger's recovery and Stefani and her children. She is very devout and believes in the power of prayer. This is so sad and tragic.
