Default For Positive Political Discourse

Please pray for all government leaders and political candidates, and please pray for the political discourse throughout the world, as well as right here on CAF. For those of us on CAF, let us pray that each one of us remembers always to treat one another with charity, that we foster civil discourse, and that we promote understanding of each other's points of view.

Let us pray that may never fall into the machinations of the enemy, who wants to divide us with lies, and who wants us to succumb to the trap of demonizing those with whom we disagree. Let us always remember that even the ones we disagree with the most drastically and most often are beautiful in the eyes of God.

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hi Havard,

Thanks for this thoughtful, kind & charitable thread

I always enjoy reading your posts, because they are informative & CHARITABLE

I worry about people lurking, people trying to discern if this is the true FAITH

& then they find a lot of bickering

So, I thank you for this prayer thread! And I join you in prayer!

Praying for all leaders, politicians, CAF posters, friends, etc.

"Blessed are the PEACEMAKERS, for they will be called children of GOD" Matthew 5:3-10

Thank you! God Bless you!

PAX,

Megan

LORD, make me an instrument of your PEACE.

Where there is hatred, let me sow LOVE.

Where there is injury, let me sow PARDON.

Where there is friction, let me sow UNION.

Where there is error, let me sow TRUTH.

Where there is doubt, let me sow FAITH.

Where there is despair, let me sow HOPE.

Where there is darkness, let me sow LIGHT.

Where there is sadness, let me sow JOY.

O Divine Master,

Grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console,

to be understood as to understand, to be loved as to LOVE.

For it is in GIVING, that we receive, It is in PARDONING that we are pardoned.

It is in dying that we are born to ETERNAL LIFE.

AMEN.

Dear Friends, I join each of you in prayer for all of these truly good intentions. Let us always strive to remember as part of God's glorious Creation, that we have far more to unite us than what divides us.

May God's blessings be with and His peace rule the world and be with us always.

Amen.

Hail Mary, Full of Grace,

The Lord is with Thee,

Blessed art thou among women,

And Blessed is the Fruit of Thy womb, JESUS.

Holy Mary, Mother of God,

Pray for US sinners,

Now and at the hour of our death,

Amen

PAX,

Blessings to all,

Megan

O Holy Trinity,
we thank you for having given to the Church
Pope John Paul II,
and for having made him shine with your fatherly tenderness,
the glory of the Cross of Christ and the splendor of the Spirit of love

He, trusting completely in your infinite mercy
and in the maternal intercession of Mary, has shown himself
in the likeness of Jesus the Good Shepherd
and has pointed out to us holiness
as the path to reach eternal communion with You.

Grant us, through his intercession,
according to your will, the grace that we implore,
in the hope that he will soon be numbered among your saints.
Amen.

Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness & our hope, to you do we

cry, poor banished children of Eve; to you do we send up our sighs, mourning &

weeping in this valley of tears; turn, then, most gracious Advocate, your eyes of Mercy

towards us, and after this, our exile, show unto us the Blessed Fruit of your womb,

JESUS. O Clement, O Loving, O Sweet Virgin Mary!

Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of

CHRIST!
