I know that Dr. Strange himself is very manipulative but as much I can also be that kind of hero, I'd rather be one governed by higher power principles... like Justice and Vengeance.
(That and I seem to be more of a "Grab you and eat/burn your soul." than a delve too deeply into the metamagic arts.)

I just think being Doctor Strange would be more fun than being a more conventional rock-em-sock-em superhero who relies on his fists as much as his wits in saving himself and the day.

To that end, I'd want Longshot's powers.

But not the mullet I hope Although it did work for him, but he was very much an 1980's creation in some ways. He hasn't been seen much in the Marvel universe since he was a member of the X-men for a time years ago, he dropped out of the limelight after that although he has resurfaced recently. One of Spider-man's foes 'The Black Cat' has somewhat similar powers, only hers work on her enemies and cause them bad luck whereas Longshot's as I recall granted him good luck.
Here's the Demon the character I mentioned earlier, it's a convention of the character that he is often written as speaking in verse. Although how well that is carried off depends on the writer. Alan Moore here manages it rather well, other writers... often not so much. The character he is talked with is the Phantom Stranger who has been implied to be an Angel who took part in Lucifer's rebellion but repented. He was cursed to walk among men till the end of time, or this might not be the case as several other origins were given for him and it's up to you to make up your mind which suits him. He's one of my favourite characters:-

Re: Which superhero are you?
Longshot's powers can cause bad luck, but they are centered around himself, and dependent on both the purity of his intentions and his confidence. In other words he tried to use them for ill, they'd backfire and it'd cause bad luck for him. And the more confident he is, the more powerful the probability manipulation gets. IIRC, it's protected him from even high-level reality warpers in the past.

You are Superman
You are mild-mannered, good,
strong and you love to help others.

I admit, I do like a more reasonable approach but I guess you can me the middle-road type of guy when it comes plan vs action.
If I were a Rider, I'd probably be the smarter kind
That don't mean won't try and finish you off with a hellfire version of RAIDA PAANCH!!!

As for a superhero though that is a bit tough. I am not a huge comic book guy. I only really know the mainstream guys and none of them really fit my personality. Maybe Superman.

Don't all superheros have great power and responsibility?

Re: Which superhero are you?
I do not identify with any of them, really. We have a "local superhero" character here in the Abitibi, MacCru (short for the Mighty Asymmetric Cleavage Crusader), who comes to the rescue or comfort of women who have undergone mastectomies. He has all the strengths and secret weaknesses of other superheroes. He only can fly and use his superior strength when he is within the historic boundaries of Rouyn-Noranda, QC. To exercise his mission outside that area he first must consume an entire pecan-almond pie, in order to function elsewhere. Needless to say, he gets into difficult spots when he is not at home and cannot find the requisite pie; he only functions at a lower level of superstrength when a pie of pecans only, without almonds mixed in, is available.

Re: Which superhero are you?
I don't pay too much attention to SuperHeros, but I'd like to be any hero who can fly/levitate. It'd be awesome.
