The Blessed Bartolo Longo was a satanic priest who became a saint.

The Rosary: The Devil’s Defeat (Blessed Bartolo Longo - from satanic priest to saint)

So I would say there's a lot of room for forgiveness.

Stating God doesn't exist isn't the same thing as equating Him with Satan.

There are plenty of atheists who have become Christians over the years. CS Lewis, possibly the 20th century's most effective apologist, was one of them.

So obviously that's not an unforgiveable sin.

Dear Friend,

Rejecting God even at death is the unpardonable sin. That was my signification. I did not go into detail. What I said was truth. That's the sin that is unforgivable which I learned from childhood, Catechism, Catholic School, and mass. When you die and you still don't believe in God and think all you're going to do is turn into worm food and that's it, then there you go.

If anyone goes to God after not believing, using that as an example, that is an entirely different matter.

I agree sin is going against God and what pleases Him. That's why we have confession.

I would still hold his hand if he needed someone to walk with him. That is my heart.

Love ya'll,
Sheila is my real name.
