Well, my first principle is generally that something is wrong if it harms another person, or impedes on another person's rights.

How many of you have experienced anything like this in your face homosexuality?
lots of 'in your face' heterosexuality going about too

doesn't seem very Christian to single out homosexuals for special judgement and condemnation

seems to me like you should turn to your bible

john 13:34 might be a good starting point

How about this, Gays can stop exhibiting "in your face homosexuality" when catholics stop exhibiting "in your face evangelism" to people who don't want to experience that in their day.

If you're going to turn to the Bible, make sure you turn to the verses that speak against homosexual acts as well.

Just because I don't agree with the lifestyle does not mean I have to like or support the sin.

If you're going to turn to the Bible, make sure you turn to the verses that speak against homosexual acts as well.

Just because I am to love my brothers and sisters does not mean I have to like or support the sin.

If you're going to turn to the bible, make sure you turn to the verses speaking against shellfish, blended fabrics, and working on the sabbath as well.

Christ teaches that you should love your brothers and sisters as He loves you: unconditionally.

It doesn't matter if you agree or disagree with a persons choices - it is my understanding that Christ teaches us to love others and withhold judgement of them.

Are you saying that your understanding of the Bible is that we can ignore Matthew 7:1 (Do not judge, or you too will be judged NIV)?

My best friend is catholic, so no, I don't. I just think there is a very vocal minority of catholics more concerned with persecuting others than experiencing any sort of spiritual growth.

Shocked that this is some kind of new experience for you. I live in what New Yorkers would call po dunk. And I see it all the time. But, I also see kids in thier early teens who give PDAs that testify to their sexual inappropriate. I am far from a Gay apologist but I have to wonder why this disturbed you so much. It is the world we live in. The society we have created. We live in sinful times and what you described was not a big deal in the scheme of things.

Yup, gay people go out in public. Yup, they are bold. Yup, they are sinning. One just has to wonder, where have you been for the last 20 years or so.

Really? Wow! Thankfully, I have never, ever seen anything like that from homosexuals (and I don't really see homosexual couples very often at all, or at least if I do, they keep it to themselves so I don't know about their sexuality for sure--I think I saw two homosexual couples at Seaworld last week) and I haven't seen that kind of behavior from heterosexual folks for many years either. Guess I just don't get out that much. Maybe that isn't such a bad thing, considering.

Old Testament ceremonial laws and therefore not applicable after Christ.

I don't remember being taught that in Sunday school:

“Think not that I came to destroy the law or the prophets; I came not to destroy, but to fulfill. For verily I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass away from the law, till all things be accomplished” (Mt. 5:17-18).
