Thanks for the link...Yes - very well done...
One comment if I may.
Fr Barron uses the former USSR as an example, and surely it is a stark and legitimate one. but what he mentions in relation to the USSR - the loss of common courtesy - and moral decay - is all ready being seen here in the US. This seems to be occurring, not so much as a result of radical atheism, as from something that Fr Barron refers to as the "domesticating Jesus" - or more generally in this discussion - "domesticating God".
It results in a reduction, or a "sidelining" of God, rather than an outright and conscious "rejection". It results in an ignoring of Him and reducing Him to something that does not effect the daily lives of many - even many who claim to be believers.
This results in many of the same ills that Fr Barron points out were evident in the former USSR...Loss of courtesy, attacks on religious (both consecrated and lay religious) and a general collapse of morality. The "New Atheist" or the "Radical" Atheist may be the point man and the most visible in this matter, but there are multitudes who acknowledge God and yet serve "mammon" in many forms.
Domesticating Jesus
