Re: Ever thought of plastic surgery?
I had 4 kids close together. Breast fed all 4 kids. It does a number to your body. After my 4th pregnancy, I joined a gym and got back to my pre-pregnancy size. I decide to get a tummy tuck, muscle repair and breast lift. I don't regret doing it. I love having my body looking like it did before the kids.
I would not do anything to my face. Face lifts look fake to me. I would rather age gracefully.

Tummy tuck sounds extremely painful. I'll probably do a breast augmentation once I'm done having kids, and maybe some lipo.
What's a "muscle repair?"

whan ur preggers, your muscles can separate on your abdoment making your stomach appear to be sicking out. No matter how much exercise you do, the tummy looks fat.
me thinks her surgery was quite painful, but I bet the results were awesome.

I'm sure the results were awesome.
Do muscles always separate on the abdomen when you're pregnant? You're scaring me...

they have to in order to make room for baby, but afterwards, they usually go back into place. for some women, they never do.
my stomach is flat again after 2 pregnancies and my boobs still look great...no stretch marks...so not all women require the mommy makeover.

It isn't something that can happen anytime soon though, not until we have more money.

When I was in my early 40's, I had a run-in with a car door that broke my nose. I had trouble breathing and went to see a friend who is both an ENT and a facial plastic surgeon. He said I had a badly broken nose, and that our insurance would definitely cover surgery to correct my completely out-of-whack septum. While he was at it, he reshaped my nose, as well - something I had wanted to do for 30 years - for no more than the cost of the medically warranted surgery. I now actually have a very attractive nose - something I never thought i would have.
I can't begin to explain what that surgery did for my self-esteem... not to mention my breathing! I will love that doctor forever.

Oh jeez. I hope it goes back to normal for me.
Is there anything a woman can do while she's pregnant to decrease the chances of the muscle thing being a permanent change?

Actually, I might get away with something similar. I did break my nose when I was little and my septum is slightly deviated as a result. My breathing is a little off as well. The problem is I don't have health insurance right now, and when I DO get health insurance, they might not pay for this because they might consider it a pre existing case.
Was the surgery/recovery very painful?

If I have money, maybe I can go for plastic surgery so that women would chase me.

Re: Ever thought of plastic surgery?
I would definitely consider a tummy tuck. After carrying multiples that muscle is ruined. I have a book called "Lose Your Mummy Tummy," and I'm back to doing some of the exercises in that--she claims you can eliminate the need for surgery with these exercises--but I have my doubts it works.

They do make bands that you can wear around your stomach to ease the strain on your muscles. I had a little separation after the pregnancy but it closed after about a year and my stomach is flat now. One thing that I've read over and over is to not do crunches right after birth or you could make it worse. You have to wait a few months. You'll notice some male body builders with really defined muscles who have the separation from over doing it.
In extreme cases the surgery to close the muscles is covered by insurance because these muscles protect your internal organs.

None of the known methods have worked. But, if I were good-looking, maybe women would go after me. o:
