Tell something interesting about yourself
I created this thread for everyone to tell something interesting about yourself or your family, ancestry, etc.
I will start. One of my great Grandfathers was the 17th Governor of Indiana. His name was James D. Williams. Here is a link to the Wikipedia entry about him:

My family coat of arms features 3 ducks.
Imagine looking up and seeing a knight bearing down on you with a couched lance, and there, on his shield... is three rubber duckies.

I've been arrested, had a gun pointed to the back of my head, broke my arm three times, had four ear operations, served in the US Navy for ten years, converted to the Catholic faith in Japan.

My aunt Janice is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. She was in a band in the 50's, and they were the first group ever to record "Heart and Soul". You know, the song that EVERYBODY knows on the piano.
As for me, I am a professional song writer for the Church, and I am published in a few different hymnals.

The farthest I have ever swam was 26 miles at night in open ocean.
I once got caught in the middle of a holdup, and ended up helping the gunman to empty the cash register in order to get him out the door and on his way. He had already hurt two people at that point, and we were headed toward a hostage situation.

I'm the first and only person in my family's history to enter into the medical field and to convert to catholicism. Currently I'm an emt for southwest ambulance. Every shift I pray the rosary for all the patients I have made contact with during my shift. Also, I'm related to the outlaw Jesse James on my mother's side.

My 5 greats on grandmother was one of the ladies excuted for witchcraft in Salem along with her sister. I happened to find this out of all things on Halloween.
