owning/displaying a vatican flag?
Is this even a "thing" anywhere, to own and display a vatican flag? I see many Christian churches flying the Christian flag, so i was wondering if any Catholic parishes outwardly displayed the Crest?

Re: owning/displaying a vatican flag?
I have a Vatican flag from when the Pope visit the U.K. recently. But I don't fly it, same as the Scottish and Welsh flags I have!
As far as the 'Christian Flag' is concerned, it's not something I've heard of before now. The Christian Standard that has more historical claim would be fromt eh time of the crusades - a red cross on a white field, which, as it happens, is now the flag of England (and certain East European countries, I believe).

Re: owning/displaying a vatican flag?
My last parish flew the Vatican flag beneath the US flag. Looks great! Now that I'm thinking about it, I'll offer to buy one for my current parish so we can fly the two on our pole.
If I had a flagpole at home, I'd do the same. Right now I'm looking for a sign or large pin with two flags crossed to display in my cubicle at work.

I've seen Vatican flags at cathedrals.
In Rome, the Vatican symbol is often embossed on the facades of the numerous churches.
As to the "Christian flag": the Jerusalem cross is used as the flag of the country of Georgia.

Zazzle, Cafe Press, and Amazon all sell them, search for "Vatican Flag".

The Vatican flag should not be under the country flag since the Vatican flag is symbolic of God's Holy See. There would not be a problem with them being side by side, but if one goes on top it should be the Vatican flag since God should always come first.

Yes, our Church has one. The flag of Vatican City is on the left side of the Church, and the American flag is on the right side of the Church

The Vatican flag is the flag of another nation. The flag of another nation should not be flown on the same pole as the American flag.
In the United States, no flag should fly above the American flag. Most nations have similar rules for their flags.

I am in TX, so if I were to do this, I'd set up the flags of USA, TX and SCV side by side
The SCV is not, per se, the Kingdom of God. So there is no need to raise its flag above that of one's own nation.

We had a similar question at our church, when we noticed that the flagpoles were shorter than the steeple with the cross at the top. Symbolically, all national flags were under God's cross.
