Default Intimacy and the Most HOLY EUCHARIST

dear Forum!!

I just wanted to tell you all that I really love the EUCHARIST. I, hopefully, will become a Priest one day, and this crossed my mind. Celibacy isnt a bad thing, its an awesome thing. Whoever said Priests and Monks, Friars and Brothers arent intimate?? , I have intimacy every Sunday Morning, Right after COMMUNION. I Recieve my LORD, give HIM Blessings, Adoration, Thanksgiving and Praise. Then I proceed to tell HIM all of my intentions, and desires. Recieving HIM is so awesome! What can get more intimate than receieving YOUR VERY CREATOR inside of you? Literally, Eating HIM. ALL OF HIM, BODY, BLOOD, SOUL AND DIVINITY. Nothing gets more intimate than HOLY COMMUNION. We Catholics should take advantage of that most precious moment. If only we knew how satan hates and fears us in those moments, when the VERY BLOOD OF CHRIST is pounding through our veins. In fact, Some things I like to imagine after COMMUNION is these:

I like to look at my veins and imagine that if i cut myself, It would be the LORDS BLOOD flowing out, not mine (for the 15 minutes HE PHYSICALLY STAYS THERE)

And, since our Parish offers both forms, I Like to picture myself going up to the Chalice, as if i were going to the Foot of the Cross, and licking the BLOOD off of my LORDS MANGLED FEET.

Just some thoughts

I love the Eucharist as well and its one of the best things in the world, but saying you would lick Jesus' mangled feet and cut your arm open to see Jesus' blood comes across as a bit odd.

I'm always distracted during communion. Most times after receiving our Lord,I have to literally do a "100-meter-sprint" to the choir loft to start singing Mozart's Ave Verum or other.

I missed the old days when I was seated first, second pew.Alas.

I also am in love with the Eucharist. I feel embraced by love and I focus on that. I easily can picture myself in His arms. Imagining cutting yourself and licking His blood is disturbing to me.

I know I may sound a bit odd, but, HIS BLOOD is saving, and well, i like to imagine those things (Im not emo by the way), because that is how close HE is to me during those moments after I recieve HIM.

Me, too.

OP, what does your spiritual director say about this?
