You could say the same thing for alcoholics, chronic liars, kleptomaniacs, pedaphiles, drug addicts and a whole host of other people that " just can't help themselves it is in their genes".

Good point and abstinence is in order in all these cases.

A very poor point, unless you can prove that the indiviuals could help themselves.

Oh, and you can use you as an example. You must recreate the exact circumstances and then prove a different outcome was possible.

In anycase the argument relies on stereotypes to work. Not all alcoholic beat their wives and rape their kids, not a;; drug addicts rob to feed their habits.
