Default Meet and Greet # 91

Welcome to CAF!

Tell us a little about yourself.

For newcomers, just click the "Post Reply" button located just above this message. A "post reply" editor will then appear. Type your message and hit the "Submit Reply" button.

Feel free to then wander around and check things out.

Again, thanks for joining us here at Catholic Answers Forums.

May God bless you and yours,
........................................

By the way...this is not a question and answer thread so please do not post questions in this thread, as they will generally go unanswered.

This is merely where you introduce yourself to the community.

p.s., Want to start a new conversation ("thread") or ask a question? Here's how it's done:
  1. Find a forum that covers your topic. There's a list on CAF's home page.
  2. Enter the forum by clicking its name. You'll then see a list of conversations or topics (called "threads" in forum-speak).
  3. Look for the "New Thread" button at the top of this list. Click it to start your own topic.
  4. You will then see a standard text editor. Just enter a title and a description of what you want to talk about. Click "submit" and you're all done.
p.p.s, the earlier Meet and Greet #90 is located here.

Cool Re: Meet and Greet # 91

I thought I would drop in and say hello!

I was brought up in the Catholic church and have always had a strong faith in God. Six months ago I was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer and have been undergoing treatments. I am happy to say though that God is working in me and I am doing very well.

I know see this time of illness to be a complete blessing for my spiritual life. Because of a depressed immune system and chemo side effects, I have had to stay at home most days. I have had the opportunity to delve deeper in my relationship with God and have found a peace and joy that I have never felt before. I now pray constantly, and I have recently begun the Liturgy of the Hours. I feel truly blessed!

Hi everybody, looks like a great site.

the reason I'm here is to ask a ? of etiquette or appropriate behavior

how long should a person wait until after the death of a spouse, to see, date, someone else

and how long should a person wait to consider remarrying?

I don't think there is a cannon law or rule regarding this issue.

My spouse and I were married in a Catholic Church

Good evening all!
Just signed up tonight and am hoping to learn more about God, the Bible, and Jesus and His teachings through "Catholic Answers" and perhaps learn how people of faith deal with everyday issues and today's culture. I'm happily married with two stepchildren and two children (ages range from 32 to 14) and an 8 year old granddaughter. We live in PA and belong to a good church. Am looking forward to being a part of this forum...

Good Morning Everyone!

I'm Eric. Happy to be here. Born and raised Catholic, my wife converted to Catholicism about 8 years ago. We have two kids and are loving our church family at Our Divine Saviour in Tifton, GA. Being a Catholic in the Deep South is quite an experience...but our church has around 300+ families and we are doing a lot in the community to be more accepted by our Protestant brothers and sisters. Life is good...

Anyway, just saying hello! Have a blessed weekend!

EricW.
