Re: What Type of Music Do you listen To?
I often tell people that I make my own music--I'm known as a "hummer" at work, and I'm always singing or humming something. I also play piano and I'm learning to play the organ.
I like country, and if I do listen to a CD, it will probably be my Johnny Cash "Unchained" CD--love it! OR I will listen to my beloved Scotty McCreery CD--IMO, he's the best thing to happen to country in decades!
I really like classic country, and enjoy hearing artists like Patsy Cline, George Jones, Tammy Wynette, etc. But I also like contemporary country, and enjoy Carrie Underwood, Lady Antebellum, etc. And I like "Western" music and own every CD that Riders in the Sky has made--they are AWESOME! And I like Cajun music, which, if it is ever played on the radio, will be played on country stations.
To me, all the "country" artists from the earliest to the most modern are part of the "country music family" and make up the huge and varied "stew" of "country" music. I don't like it when country fans try to argue that one type of country is more "country" than another type. The U.S. is a great big country with lots of different "country" styles which develop along regional and geographic lines (e.g., a lot of Southwestern country music has Hispanic characteristics, and a lot of urban country sounds like rock music or R&B) and I think we all need to try to appreciate each other's "country."

Well, I guess it depends what type of metal you like. I'm a power/prog/symphonic metal fan, so I like Theocracy, HB, Saviour Machine, and Divinefire. There are lots more.
There have been many threads over the years about this. I'm sure a site search for "Christian metal" would bring up lots more bands.

Re: What Type of Music Do you listen To?
Let's see.....
- Enya.
- Japanese pop and rock, especially those with very good chord progressions.
- Used to listen to Coldplay, but stopped.
- Plainchant, on recommendations. Although I could listen to the familiar ones on repeat....
- Ondekoza, every now and then. They're a taiko drumming group.
- A little bit of symphonic metal, but on recommendations.
- Video game soundtracks. My preferences are those from Kingdom Hearts, Super Mario Galaxy and theme songs from Sonic the Hedgehog games.

Re: What Type of Music Do you listen To?
I mostly listen to jazz and some classical. I find most pop to be insipid and uninteresting. I do like Willie Nelson,Johnny Cash and some sixties rock.
