Re: whats your favorite wine...
For me, the drink depends on many things...
On hot summer days, a cold crisp dry white wine is nice... Sometimes I like a buttery sweet Chardonnay.
Good reds are my basic favorite - you can never go wrong with a good Zin.
Beer is wonderful with BBQ...
So, it varies!

Re: whats your favorite wine...
Well, I never drink red wine--it triggers migraines, and it just is not worth it. (Sure, I could take meds to deal with the migraines, but that comes with a whole host of other issues, so I avoid my triggers.)
I like nice dry white wines. Fortunately, I'm within a half-hour drive of the NYS wine country, so I can always go to a winery and do some tastings before buying. I only buy NYS wines (gotta support the regional economy).

I didn't see Wild Turkey listed.
The finest rot gut wine in the world--age almost 24 hours.
Preferred by more street people that any other.

Turning Leaf makes a fabulous White Zinfendel. For beer, I am a microbrewed kinda guy. I like most wheat beers and honey ales.

Re: whats your favorite wine...
I prefer red wine to white, and overall, Italian wines are my favorites.
There's nothin' like a good aged Chianti.

Re: whats your favorite wine...
I drink red wine. I have fun doing 'research' finding good wines in the $6-$8 range. A dark sweet microbrew on warm summer nights is wonderful!

Oh, you mean WINE! I prefer micro-brews myself, but a nice not-to-dry red is always nice....

Re: whats your favorite wine...
I make my own. We have mostly Concord and Niagara Grapes, plus a few vines I have not been able to identify. They all go into the fermentation buckets together. The wine is deep red and sweet, but this year has been so dry and the Japanese Beetles have been so bad that I expect it to be an inferior vintage.

My mom lives in Yates County; I was there not long ago and brought back 3 dry white wines from 3 different wineries. One from Torrey Ridge (on Seneca Lake), one from Arbor Hill and one from Widmers (both on Canandaigua Lake). Dh likes dry white, while I prefer a blush. Arbor Hill has great wine jellies, too. ---KCT

Re: whats your favorite wine...
Though I don't drink (not 21), my extended family has a certain appreciation for good alcohol (and sometimes not so good alcohol). So, I have tasted wines (many of them) and have found in general that I like a good, dry red the best, though a dry white is always nice too. However, my family would laugh at white zinfindel (or any boxed wine additionally), and I must say I agree after tasting a few.

Re: whats your favorite wine...
I like a completely non-sweet wine and I can't find any. Bitter is better.....
Any suggestions?

Any grapes you do get will be the strong ones, and should make for a flavorful, rich wine (less moisture = less, more flavorful, juice).
