Default Sideways Cross Bracelets

Have any of you seen these? It's a new trend where people are expressing their spirituality by wearing their cross leaning sideways. Does anyone have any idea what this is supposed to mean, if anything?

I'm just guessing, but I have some jewelry-making experience and I'd imagine what it symbolizes is people not wanting to poke themselves with the long leg of the cross.

Bracelets are tricky if they're not going to be painful.

But I'm open to correction if it really does mean something theological, though.

My thoughts are the same--I'm a silversmith, and I think it just makes it easier to wear a cross on a bracelet, and it's something different. They're popular on Etsy. I haven't found anyone who can definitively say what they mean.

I agree...I know of Christian stores that sell them so I'm guessing it is just for show or, more likely, practicality. Also it is probably easier to secure such a pendant. I definitely don't see it as a insult to the faith. It reminds me of rings that have the crucifix sideways, wrapping around the finger. My friend has one that was her grandmother's so that is not a new trend.
