I'm glad to hear you're doing well. How was it where you live? Any serious damage in your neck of the woods?

Thanks to all for your kind remarks...Damage was somewhat severe considering we were so far away from the eye...but then again, the storm was very large and very strong....so it was expected. There was a total loss of power in my area...trees went down....limbs and branches everywhere...minor structural damage....some trailers lost roofs and a few things like that...but I don't think any site built structures were damaged outside of flying debris, etc...we were very lucky in Baton Rouge...I am hoping a praying my dear friend brotherhrolf is ok....I am just worried and continue to pray for those in the areas effected most...I have heard speculation on death toll and it is tragic...please keep all those effected in your prayers....God Bless. Vivat Jesus

Congrats!!! I guess God largely spared Baton Rouge because of the presence of Jimmy Swaggart, right?

I am really antsy to get back to New Orleans to see what things look like. Just hope my house has no water in it.

It is so good to see our CA friends posting that we were praying for.
We will keep up our prayers for the clean up effort.

All glory and praise to God!

I know that the damage was awful, but it could have been so much worse.

Thumbs up Re: Hey Everyone...I'm Alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I felt when praying to Our Lady of Prompt Succor and praying the Rosary last night--how do I put this?--a real surge of power, the power of thousands of hearts, souls, and voices offering those prayers as one. I hope that doesn't sound New Agey.
