Is it ok to baptize my 2 month old granddaughter?
My 33 year old son and his 33 year old live-in girlfriend have a 2 month old girl. It is the first child for them both. Neither have ever been married. When my husband asked our son if they were going to have her baptized. He replied that he did not know. Our son stopped practicing the Catholic faith after he left for college. His girlfriend does not practice any faith. We have spoke to him about how important his having faith is-but he does not respond. Would it be wrong for us to baptize her ourselves sometime when we are babysitting her? We live an hour drive away and only will see her 2 times a month or so.
