Default Is it permissible to have a Funeral Mass for a non-Catholic?
My Catholic brother wants to have a Funeral Mass for his non-Catholic recently deceased wife. She never desired to embrace our faith and convert. She disagreed with many of the Catholic Church's social stances and openly supported gay marriage.

I don't think it's proper to have a Funeral Mass for her. Am I wrong?
