Lionel Messi & Islam.
Lionel Messi and the Argentinian football team were given brochures about Islam and Muhammed in the Spanish language yesterday!
I thought football and sports in general should be separate from politics and religions!, I think the FIFA should act here!
The Argentinian football team came here to Saudi Arabia to just play a friendly match not to learn about Islam!, what if the Saudi football team had a match in Spain or somewhere else and that country gave them brochures about Christianity, you can just imagine what the reaction would be......

Re: Lionel Messi & Islam.
Well, I know Messi is a Catholic. He allegedly has gone to Medjugore . He also makes the sign of the Cross after scoring a goal (Don't know if that is superficial or not).
Perhaps he was being accomadating??

I know, I wish they woul stop that....

Re: Lionel Messi & Islam.
I don't think its accurate to compare Spain and Saudi Arabia in that sense. The separation of Church and State is a Western idea (wich was deveoleped at the times of French Revolution), Saudies don't separate those. As far as I know officialy Spain is a secular country (no state religion), and Saudia is a Muslim country. So in my view its quite logical for them to spread their religioin (although I'm not in any sense in favour of their religion and don't by any means aprove its spreading), as its logical to Western people to spread so-called 'democracy and human rights' around the globe.
I too oppose, but its the very nature of the Muslim spirit as I see it.

Re: Lionel Messi & Islam.
Seperation of church and state is a superstition, its not fact, other than some judges refer to it at times.
The fact of Tradition is, Its One Naiton Under God, that we pledge an alegence to..
Catholics of all people are , well, ignorant of Truth, in that their Church doctrine calls that Governments work Hand in Hand with the Church, and the Church should work hand in hand with Government.
The origination of the idea of seperation of church and state more so comes from the idea that the church should not write government laws, and governments dont write church laws.
But thanks to the ignorance of Catholics, the government alows Murder, defiant to the Ten Commandments, that mutilation and killing of children..abortion...
The real reason of people falsely saying that Seperation of church and state exists, is that it be made a Godless Civilization.
