Default Can we go to a wedding of someone marrying a Catholic on a beach?

Hello,

My niece invited us to her wedding on a beach. She is not catholic but is marrying one. It will most likely not be a catholic priest presiding.

The Baltimore catechism, my 13 year old daughter pointed out, states that it would be a sin. Yet I read an article in your magazine that says it would be ok to attend if doing so will not drive the catholic further away from the faith and I speak out intending to bring them closer to god and the faith.

Please advise. The answer in your magazine and the Baltimore catechism seem at odds. My daughter says go with the Baltimore catechism. Please help us understand.

God bless,

Mcyolis
