Is there "fire" in hell?
I'm thinking about starting a daily rosary to contemplate the mysteries of Jesus' life, but there's one prayer that I feel confused about. "Oh my Jesus, save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to Heaven, especially those in most need of thy mercy".
I have always associated fire as a positive. God's gift to man. Fire as a cleaner/purging device. God Himself described as a fiery furnace of Love. Purification through fire, etc.
It's the last thing I associate with Hell. Someone please help!!
There wouldn't be an inaccuracy with this rosary prayer, right?
