Question Does anyone here pray for the return of lost items frequently?

Okay, I'm the weird nerd in my family, so I'm wondering if this is odd: if I am ever missing anything and it is taking me forever to find it, I will make the sign of the cross and pray to find the object. Does anyone out there ever do this, or am I the only odd one??

P.S.: Usually after praying, I find the object quite soon and say a quick prayer of thanksgiving.

Certainly! Biggest problem of all is losing my car keys. Although I have a special hanger for them, I invariably put them in odd places and panic when it's time to drive my car and I have no time to look for keys! Many times, St. Anthony has come to the rescue.

Yes, St. Anthony of Padua and all the time when I am looking for something!

Yep.
Anthony! Anthony! Turn around, something's lost that needs to be found!
That and lots of Our Fathers and Hail Marys.

Prayers of thanks when the object turns up, including more Our Fathers and Hail Marys.

Yup, and I, like you, often receive guidance on where to look.

If Saint Anthony has ever failed you, it is because he is completely occupied at my house at the daily request of various family members.

Considering I lose things all the time...yes!
St Anthony is my go to saint when I lose something.

God Bless

That is not odd or weird at all! It's a very common devotional practice.

No, itís more than that. Itís a justification, an excuse, for not helping each other and those outside the Church fall in love with Jesus Christ. Question Re: Does anyone here pray for the return of lost items frequently?

Yes, and at my age I loose many thing's. Usually after praying my little prayer "Dear St
Anthony I pray, please help me find it_____ with out Delay. Then several Hail Mary's. Most of the time it shows up quickly. I may need some help on finding my pie keeper which I don't remember where I may have taken it and left it.. Thanks to all of you for your help.

Saint Anthony ALWAYS helps me find what I am looking for. Only one time, have I not been able to recover something and I am still looking (a crucifix from a very old rosary).

The prayer goes like this: Dear Saint Anthony come around, something is lost and cant be found (here is where I specify what it is, and why important (LIKE MY CREDIT CARD)).

And even if you dont find it within a few minutes, ideas will pop in your head where to look. I once lost an opal ring in the woods yet!!! and he helped me find it, gleaming in the sunlight.

I recently asked him to help us find and choose the right doctor for my oldest son who has stage 4 cancer to find the right doctor to at least give him some time. My son has no job, no money, no insurance, been refused by social security, and was contacted by a hospital asking him if he would be willing to try an experimental drug. He is still with us today, and is a living miracle (by everyone's prayers here, and all the other saints helping us, of course). But I still feel Saint Anthony helped us find the doctor too.

Good luck, and if you BELIEVE Saint Anthony can help you, you WILL find it.

By the way, after you have found what it was Saint Anthony helped you find, I usually thank him over and over again for a few minutes... "thank you Dear Saint Anthony, thank you dear Saint Anthony"......

its funny you should ask that today. My coworker, who is also catholic, was very upset because she couldnt find a ring given to her by her mother. I told her to pray to St. Anthony and he would help her find it. She went home for lunch, and she prayed to St. Anthony, she came back from lunch so excited because she found it right after she said the prayer. That happened today.
Ive also found my lost car keys with St. Anthonys help. So has my mother.
