Default Is it wrong to eat out on Sundays?

I am a cradle Catholic and while my family always observed the "no work" and "no shopping" rule on Sundays, we did sometimes go out to eat as a family or to get together with relatives and friends.

Is this considered a violation in keeping the Lord's Day holy?

I am especially concerned because my husband works 2nd shift at a newspaper so he works every Friday and Saturday night. Sundays and Mondays are his days off but I attend choir practice on Monday evenings. While we only go out to eat 2-3 times a year, it has typically been on a Sunday after mass. Is this an abomination to our Lord?

Thank you in advance for your kind reply!
