We must not be concerned with what others think of us. Does not Jesus say:
Quote:
"Blessed are you when men revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so men persecuted the prophets who were before you.” (Mt: 5: 11-12 RSV)
In addition, pleasing others should not be our first goal. Please God should be foremost on our minds. For, often, pleasing other means displeasing God.

"Look instead to heaven, to Me, Who have power to deliver you from all disgrace and injury, and to render to everyone according to his works."
This is very powerful. So often in life we are so influenced by others. Isn't it just silly? If we keep our eyes on God, then all things will be right in our world.
