Default Pope Emeritus Benedict Mailing Address

Does anyone know what address I should use to mail a letter to His Holiness? If I send it to the Apostolic Palace, will he get it? (I know he may never see it anyway, but I want to send it to the right address).

I am not sure if this has been addressed yet, but I would imagine sending it to the Aposolic Palace would still be your best bet. I don't know for certain, though.

No, it’s more than that. It’s a justification, an excuse, for not helping each other and those outside the Church fall in love with Jesus Christ. I'd assume sending it to the Apostolic Palace means that it would arrive (no clue who gets to read it, though). But then, you would not send something to somebody's neighbor and expect the neighbor to bring it to the person for whom your mail is intended, right? Hence, I suggest the following (for the time after his return from Castel Gandolfo)::

Sua Santità Pontifex maximus emeritus Benedictus XVI
Monastero Mater Ecclesiae
Giardini Vaticani
Città del Vaticano
Stato della Città del Vaticano

the postcode should be 00120, but I am not 100 % positive

For official mail to the pope you might consider

Pontificio Consiglio delle Comunicazioni Sociali
Palazzo San Carlo
00120 Città del Vaticano

I am wondering if a message can be sent to Pope Emeritus. My husband loves his writing!
