Default America Needs Fatima???

I have been getting mail from an organization called "America Needs Fatima". Have read some things about them that makes them sound like a cult. Are they what they seem to be or kind of far out? Are they a legitimite catholic organization?

Fatima has always intrigued me

These are the two sites I trust most on Fatima. Both are recognized and approved by The Holy See. The first site is their American page the second one the International. Hope this helps!

I think they believe that the consecration of Russia never happened and that the full third secret was not fully revealed. Go figure why they donít just come right out and call Sister Lucia and the last few Popes liars.

Fr. Apostoli is the go to guy on this issue.

Go here for an excellent talk and the facts.

I eventually had to back away from America Needs Fatima. Sure, I support their causes, and what they do is good. But they seem to lack charity. They seem more fixated on the wickedness of "those people"- abortionists, atheists, LGBT, etc, than on Mary's call at Fatima, and ultimately the Gospel of Christ. I've been half-tempted (may angels help me) to call them the "Westboro Catholic Church". What they led me to was a subtle but unholy pride, diabolically disguised as righteousness.

I have belonged to America Needs Fatima for over 10 years and find nothing they write to be against Church teaching. They are listed under Tradition, Family, and Property.org
http://www.tfp.org/

If you check the reviews on Catholic Culture you will find them listed as GREEN, which is a good rating. http://www.catholicculture.org/searc...TOKEN=58453620

IMO they promote Our Lady of Fatima more than any other Catholic website.

Please check out their site! http://www.americaneedsfatima.org/

In addition, check out their yearly Rosary Rally.

Hi Jonah,

I'm not TFP's biggest fan either, however I don't think that there is any evidence that they sympathise with Fr. Gruner on Fatima.

That said, even if we leave the cult accusations out of the equation ( I will not discuss their authenticity as TFP accused me of slander after I wrote up a now deleted blog post on them), there is too much about TFP to uncritically endorse them. It appears to have a rather uncritical view of the Crusades, and generally presents the Middle Ages as a virtual heaven-on-earth when it was nothing of the sort. Add to that Plinio's neoliberal economic theories (the preferential option for the nobility) and you can see the results for yourself. Here is some information (albeit in a primarily Irish context):
