Exclamation Planned Parenthood Images 'Too Graphic' for New York Times, Washington Post

I searched and searched but could not find a thread about this on the go. If I missed it I apologize.

I was alerted to this via "AMERICAN LIFE LEAGUE" who send me emails about pro-life (etc) issues.

Planned Parenthood Images 'Too Graphic' for New York Times, Washington Post

From the article:
Quote:
The Washington Post and New York Times rejected advertising revenue last week from the American Life League that wanted to buy full-page ads revealing sexually graphic images that Planned Parenthood distributes to children as young as 10.

And:

Quote:
According to American Life League, the largest grassroots Catholic pro-life education organization in the U.S , The Washington Post rejected the advertisement because they believe it would be too graphic for their readers. The New York Times offered to run the ad, but only if ALL would agree to blur the images, and then the paper would also include a disclaimer below the ad to read: "Image too shocking for the New York Times audience."
In response to the two newspapers' reactions, ALL released a statement, saying: "If they are too graphic for adults, then they certainly should not be in elementary school classrooms."
How ... how ... how can this be???

The pro-life group also noted that the Affordable Care Act mandates every public school district in the United States to use Planned Parenthood's material for their sex education programs, which means that every student in the nation will be exposed to the images the two national newspapers rejected.
I was not aware of this. Wow! How disgusting! So the Affordable Care Act mandates that schools use material from Planned Parenthood in their sexual education programs??? I think I want to vomit now. I also want to scream. I hope all parents take note of this and if they can afford to do so then please take your children out of public school. Planned Parenthood's sexual education programs are filth. If anyone has ever browsed their website you will see that they teach there is absolutely nothing wrong with masturbation and they also teach that there is nothing wrong with being a practicing homosexual. In other words they promote practices that are damaging to youth.

You are exactly right! Unfortunately it would appear that Obamacare mandated this stuff to be put in all sexual education programs of public schools. At least that's what the article says in the quote I made in my last post.

Here's an idea: speak with your own children about human sexuality, establish a strong enough relationship that they can talk to you about sex, and be engaged with them about their school curriculum- regardless of the subject matter.

Also, for anyone who bothered to actually look at the images- they are all poorly drawn cartoons and all seem pretty old, based on their style and design. I'd be skeptical of any of these images turning up in a public school classroom, but anyone is welcome to prove me wrong.

Yes.

The sooner they know the truth, they less they can be led astray.

Please pray for all who are struggling with sex addiction, masturbation, pornography, etc., because the corruption of this world!

You are right that parents need to talk to their children about human sexuality. However, it won't help matters much if the parent is teaching one thing and the school is teaching another.

The sooner children learn the world is a complex place that offers many different answers and ideas and the value of discernment, the better off they will be. The fact is that parents remain their children's primary educators even after their children start school. To be honest I'd be much more concerned with what children learn from their friends than what they learn in health class.

Children need to learn the Truth, not lies and propaganda from the likes of Planned Parenthood.

If the Planned Parenthood materials are too graphic for adults at the New York Times and Washington Post deciding what materials should be put in their media, then they should not be used in classrooms for children.

Do you have a source for your assertion that these images are poorly drawn cartoons? I ask this because it wouldn't make sense for the NYT or WP to reject them as being too graphic.

It's about context. A full color picture of diarrhea would be offensive as an advertisement in a newspaper but not in a medical textbook.

How great, Planned Parenthood, a Democrat Party's favorite cause, promoter of infanticide. America's largest abortionist, Republican legislators and Governors across the USA have defunded them, Perry, Christie and Walker.

Whether parents should be talking to their children about sex really doesn't have anything to do with this tax payer funded organization forcing this on schools.

And let's not forget, Reverend Childress and plenty of African-Americans have plenty to say about this organization pioneered by Margaret Sanger, photos of her talking to the Ku Klux Klan are readily available on the internet.

That's besides the point, Planned Parenthood is funded by taxpayer monies, is a favored cause of the Democrats. Planned Parenthood are proponents of infanticide. Those who vote for most Democrats especially the president are in essence voting for these policies.

I know the images are poorly-drawn cartoons because I actually bothered to find them. And big suprise, Obama is a personal progressive governing from just RIGHT of center, and progressive organizations and ideas have been brought into the mix from across the spectrum. Is this so horrible? Bush and the right wing got the same chances for right years. They pushed "abstinence only" sex ed, which is great if you want kids to get more diseases and have more abortions...
