Default Why is it wrong for me to go to my Catholic daughter's wedding by Protestant minister?

After talking with Fr. Serpia and another holy priest, I wrote my daughter and said my husband and I could not attend her marriage ceremony because she is Catholic and choosing to be married in the Methodist Church so she doesn't have to get an annulment. My whole family is up in arms over our decision and they have called me nuts, ridig, brain-washed, mentally ill and a radical fundamentalist. No matter what we say, they don't get how we can put our Catholic beliefs above my daughter and her family at such a pivitol time in her life. My older daughter is willing to read something she said. Can you suggest something to help her know why we are putting God first? Please help us; we know God is working a miracle here...
