Default Feeling like life is not worth living

Dear friends,

Right now I am feeling like life Is not worth living, and even Heaven with God is not worth striving for. I have hit some serious mental, emotional, and spiritual lows in the last several months to a year, and there is room for even more crashing below. Please keep me in your prayers in this regard. It feels as if there is nothing good worth doing, and things that are wrong to do makes no difference with those which are "right" or "good". I feel as if I could rationalize hurting myself or someone else if my life gets more upset.

Please thank you for praying.

Dear IW,
I have suffered mental illness for 20yrs.
I am think I know how you feel, and have been where you are more than
once. I will be praying for you; I know the place where you just want it to end.
I was told by a Holy Priest once, " Hell is always worse"!
Hang on help is on the way!

Please offer your sufferings, even though you don't see it, they are helping many people. I hope and pray that your own suffering is lightened in the near future.
Ask Our Lady, Mother of Holy Hope, to obtain for you more Faith, Hope and Love.
God bless you as you participate in our Lord's sufferings...I hope and pray you will also soon be able to participate in His joys!
Hang on, and most of all, pray for help.
If you can find a good priest to talk to, that would be very helpful.
Keep in touch with us here!

Dear God, through Your Son Jesus Christ, by the Holy Spirit, grant me courage,
to overcome my fear before men against their threats
and their seductions;
to bear unkindness, mockery, and contradiction;
to fight against satan, all evil, terrors and troubles, temptations,
attractions, darkness and false lights, tears, depression, and all fears,
I need Your help, my God,
to strengthen me with Your love and grace,
console me with Your blessed Presence
and grant me the courage to persevere
until I am with You forever.
In Your Son Jesus Christ’s name.
Amen!

Sometimes when we feel the worst we are doing our best. That is to say that holiness is hard. The holier one becomes the harder life can get. Let not your heart be troubled. Give it all to God and keep in mind that all things work for good for those who love God.

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

Eternal Father, we thank You for the crosses that we bear knowing that each one is an opportunity to grow closer to You. We believe that all things are possible through You and that for those who love You, all things work together for good. If it is Your will Lord, we ask that You have mercy on our sibling. We ask for protection, cleansing and healing from these cancerous thoughts and feelings that threaten to overcome. We believe oh Lord, help our unbelief. If these requests are contrary to Your will then we ask that You grant our sibling sufficient grace to bear this heavy cross with the support of your Holy Spirit.

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
Amen

I have prayed for you. Please talk with your parish priest, perhaps ask if he can recommend a professional in the area that you could talk with.

Eternal God , in whom mercy is endless,
and the treasury of compassion inexhastible ,
look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us ,
that in difficult moments we might not despair
nor become despondent , but with great confidence ,
submit ourselves to Your Holy Will ,
which is love and mercy itself . Amen

Memorare (Prayer to Our Lady)
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen
