Default Senator Bronwback May Nix Miers

http://www.newsmax.com/archives/ic/2...7/113900.shtml

This is signficant to me. Brownback works closely with pro-life organizations literally down the street from him as well as the ACLJ office. What is confusing to me is the ACLJ has come out in full support. I wonder if they still feel the same way. We have to watch this closely.

Brad,

I am glad to see you are starting to consider other views about this.

I am an open minded person. My defense of the nomination in the past week has more to do with unfounded concern. I even think Brownback may be influenced by this wave of concern as I'm sure he has ambitions beyone the Senate as well.

Only in the past day or so have people that I respect in the pro-life community expressed legitimate concern.

TPJ -

To clarify, I mean nationally known figures. I do NOT mean that I don't respect well-intentioned members of this board.

Brad,

Yes of course, and people here who have been trying to get you to open your mind about this issue are not those you place respect in (inluding me of course). I see that now and it is a well established lesson for my future talks here. Thanks.

Did you read my clarification in the subsequent post? This post acts as those you did not.

To further clarify, my issue with the majority of the opposition to the nominee was that the reasons for opposition were not well-grounded. They are slightly more grounded now but still lack substance. The confirmation hearings will matter in this case.

Or maybe a mistook you for a non-nationally-known figure. Are you a nationally known figure?
