Default Is Stephen Colbert be a devout Catholic?

I mean he speaks the Lord's name in vain sometimes while i watch The Colbert report

Stephen Colbert the character is an irreverent "conservative" commentator.

Stephen Colbert the real person is from what I understand a devout, practicing Catholic who I think is active in his parish as a Sunday school teacher.

Ah I love him! I know he is active in his parish and I've heard him speak seriously about his faith before. Love his show!
