Default LG Optimus Dynamic + Straight Talk -- Good? Bad? Indifferent?

HLN money guru Clark Howard has been touting getting off expensive cellphone plans and getting on pay-as-you-go plans like Straight Talk. Right now Walmart has the LG Optimus Dynamic (a not-bad-size smart phone) for $80, with unlimited talk/text/data for $45/month. Anyone have any experience with this phone and/or plan?

NM, I found some reviews on Youtube. As to the phone, turns out it's 3-year-old technology, with minimal memory and a slow processor, so thanks, but no thanks. As for Straight Talk itself, there's no roaming; if you go to a place where Verizon doesn't reach, there's no service = dead phone.

Second thoughts all the way 'round.
