How many kids do you WANT?
In response to the thread about the Duggar Family I was curious how many children every wanted. I know most will be quick to say "However many God wants me to have", but everyone has a little voice in there head saying "Please God, no more than two!" or "Please God, more than 13!"
When I was younger I dreamed of getting married and having a HUGE family starting with a boy and working my way up to about 12. As of now it doesn't look like it will happen as I still haven't fufilled the first requirement of finding a husband (and I'm considering a life of chastity), but it's still fun to think about.

Yes, but what if God gave you the exact number you asked for? Yes I know he usually gives the exact opposite of what we ask for (which then turns out for the best), but it's wishful thinking all around. While we're at it how about sex order...I always wanted:
boy, twin girls, boy, boy, girl, twin boy/girl, girl, twin boys
well, the order can be adjusted, but I have always wanted twins  yea I know sucker for punishment.

I want as many as God wills for us---I just wish He willed MORE OF THEM for us!!! We have 3 kids through the blessing of adoption ( thank you God !!).
Oh yeah. To answer the quesion--I always picture myself with 5 or 6 kids!

I would love 4 - two boys, two girls. Dh would like 2 or 3. I have a feeling that we'll probably only have 2. Since we already have a boy, I'm really hoping that whenever we have another, we have a girl.

How many I wanted and how many I was able to have are two different things. I wanted a large family at least 8-10. But medical problems and infertility I was only able to have 3. But I Thank God everyday for the Blessings I so far recieved with 3 wonderful children and 3 grandchildren from our daughter (our firstborn)

I believe that God determines the number of children you have. I would love to have more I have two and I almost died having my daughter so there will be no more. That is unless God wills it.

Two, one of each sex. I don't really want more then that. Definatly not four or more. Maybe I shouldn't say this, God has ears, and he's I hear he's pretty mischievious.

We always tell people we want 13, mostly just to shock them  We have one who is turning 1 year old a week from Monday, and we're ready for more when God sends them!

Im applying to the seminary. If I have ever had or will have children there would be a serious problem.
Im from a family of 10 kids. Just now im understanding the value of it. Growing up in a large family isnt very much fun, especially if your personality is dif$ferent than everyone elses. But honestly, i cant wait for christmas and thanksgiving (but in correct order) just becuse we are going to be gathered in from the 4 winds again.

We have three with us and one in heaven.
I really want another. I'll take a singleton, twins, or triplets... Whatever God is willing to give!
I voted for 4-6 because I want more, but nothing is happening...my youngest (twins) are 5.

I voted 7 to 9, some through birth and some through adoption. But, I guess that's just wishful thinking, if God always gives us the opposite of what we want.
