How fun would they be if they were in English? I say, not very. Yeah I kinda sorta speak Spanish. I know enough to get my way through any conversation. I also have a ton of Honduran friends that have been teaching me Spanish since this summer.

We don't have to understand Spanish in America. A lot of people in the U.S. speak Spanish, it's the most-spoken foreign language here. But only about 12%, not 80%, of the population can speak Spanish.

This is my 2,000th post, BTW.

Congratulations on your 2000th post!

I don't know spanish. I should, because as you said, a lot of people in the US speak spanish... it seems like most of the peopel in sacramento do at least.

I'm tired. I really should be getting to bed here.

I should know Spanish too, since I took two years of Spanish class. I have no idea how I passed Spanish.

The worst are Irish soaps, I mean they are absolutely terrible, really. The story line is enough to send someone to sleep, if ever you go, don't waste your time watching fair city

Hey there was this huge craze over here when suddenly everyone was watching Neighbours - seriously, I was soo freaked out about it, everyone I knew was watching Neighbours, I was an outsider however it ended around October so it doesn't really matter anymore - phew

Me too! - But I really don't like it, it is sooo hard and involves loads of learning, and I really can't get the entire tense thing. And the teacher as well, she always picks me to answer questions in the class, and I can never answer them, and feel stupid - I cannot wait to drop Spanish

Personally, I don't want to take spanish. I just am not interested. It seems like people who talk spanish talk really really fast compared to English. Therefor, I'm taking Latin. So far, I love it!

I agree with the speed of talking thing, I just dont like languages in general, and I had to take a modern foreign language, so that ruled out taking Latin.

P.S. Humanities are the best

Awww, no Latin. Bummer. If I had to take a modern foeign language, it would most likely be Italian.

edit: but luckily, I was able to take Latin.
