Re: TEENS (January 2006 Thread)
Wohoo!!.. page 2... what a surprise.. Amazing isn't it.. and we're having some fresh new members.. Welcome Aurel We'll keep u n ur friend in prayers.. Hmm.. a suggestion.. how about approaching her and.. somehow encourage her to go to a mass That's probably a good idea..
Visine? Yes I have tried that several times apparently.. and not to make my eyes wet I assumed.. or was it?.. Coz I used to drop that when my eyes got red for some reason.. Hey.. when your eyes get red.. is that coz there's a lack of tears ^ ^ ...
But wait... I think there's some other ones.. I can remember there's some boratic solution for ur eyes.. and u pour it from a bottle into a kinda fitted cup for ur eye.. and.. u just 'stick' that on2 ur eye.. and u open&close ur eyelid...

Re: TEENS (January 2006 Thread)
Aurel, perhaps you could sort of get your friend more interested into (authentic) Catholic teaching, (don't get her a Catechism or anything - if she reads it - if - it most probably won't go down well) I would sort of prompt your friend to visit some light hearted websites or other resources that preach our teachings in an upbeat friendly manner. By that I mean do not take your friend to see an angry old priest who will probably just use a loud voice and call her a heretic. Other than that good luck (and welcome to the forums)

Probably not a lack of tears but rather a lack of fluid in the eyes (tears makes me think of crying too much ) other than that, I think infections can cause red eyes, my cat got one once - supposedly -

Re: TEENS (January 2006 Thread)
When I was little I had absolutely terrible eye allergies. If I even touched them, they would swell completely shut. It once was so bad that I woke up and it looked like I had a giant grape covering one of my eyes. Anyway, I had to put in the Naphcon or something or other drops whenever it happen, and wow did it burn! and when it got really bad, I had this gooey stuff and medication I had to take...let's just say my eyes haven't had the easiest lives

Hi Aurel!
Welcome to the forums! Many prayers headin ur way for u and ur friend. I'd just encourage you to be Jesus to this girl. Ya know, show her what it means to be a devout Catholic.
Uuuuuh the visine thing....I dont even remember how that started. I'm sure it had something to do with crying beinggood for ur eyes or something like that/

And I know that all the advice given here are easier said than done. But as we keep u n her in prayers.. try as best u can to be very patient and kind in all ur conversation w/ her.. I mean try not to be so aggresive.. rather give her some support and nice approach for her problems.. (I supposed there must be something bothering her from behind that u might not know of). Also.. set a good example as a God's child from what u do daily.. so that she could see Jesus in you.. and eventually would be drawn back to the right direction...
God bless.. good luck! *may another soul be saved*
