What color lay Catholics wear to church on Palm Sunday is not regulated by the Church. Wear whatever color you like. However, the liturgical vestments and altar cloths are red on Palm Sunday because the day anticipates Good Friday, particularly with the Gospel reading of the Crucifixion.
