The universe has it's own volition? The universe willed itself into existence? Isn't that rather contradictory. Before it existed it was nothng so how can it will itself into existence?

If the universe has already existed then that means the universe is the author of life. But the universe cannot be said to have life. How can something that has no life author life?
Anything that changes can exist of itself;
How? Example?
As a little side note: at which point does this pure, essential, necessary, existence unto itself start getting angry at it's own creation, send floods, request sacrifices, demand foreskins be lopped off, and decide the perfect act of benevolence is to create himself human and kill himself to appease himself, for the love of humanity?
Aah but you're jumping the gun here. I don't think anyone here is arguing for the Judeo-Christian God. Merely fo God as Creator, Source of All Being. The attributes are best left to another discussion once everyone agrees on the Creator.
