Default Healing through the use of Holy Water?

Does anyone here have a story of healing through the use of Holy Water i.e. the water that the priest blesses, that you get from any Catholic Church.

The type of healings that I am asking about, are of mental illness and/or of regular sicknesses like cancer, fever, rashes, whatever.

I was advised yesterday to give one of my autistic (adult) children Holy Water to calm her down. The doctor prescribed Valium for her on a needs basis about a week ago. Last night she only had the Holy Water, and it seems to have worked more effectively than the Valium. I will continue to watch how things go.

I think that there is a prayer for healing, which the priest says regarding Holy Water. Can anyone fill me in on that matter?

I have been told that the current blessing formula for Holy Water is different from the previous formula.

One priest that I know cynically called the new wording for the blessing of Holy Water, “watered down, Holy Water.” He thinks that the older formula is a superior blessing i.e. better wording and covering more things.

Can someone who is knowable about these things, tell us about the differences in the wording of the blessings formulas for Holy Water that was used in the past, and the one that is used currently?

The Holy Water that I used yesterday was probably blessed using the current wording.

I would also like to hear about good happenings that occurred through the use of Holy Water in other situations.

(I am not referring to things like Lourdes Water, La Salette Water, or Fatima water, although I would like to hear any testimonies that you have about that also.)

Other matters which I would like to share with you

Learn ways to help the Holy Souls in Purgatory and read testimonies of their powerful intercession for their benefactors at:

Read my book: Help from Heaven (Answers to Prayer) at:

Part one

Part two

(I have put more testimonies online than in the second edition of the print book.)
