Wouldn't your parish priest or bishop be the most logical person to ask?

Some Eparchies have catechetical coordinators - you might want to check with your chancery. Manor College in Pennsylvania has developed an academic program to obtain the prerequisites for catechist certification: http://www.manor.edu/Academics/Libarts/la_cert.pdf

Is this at all similar to the lay formation programs that are offered in the Latin diocese' as a result of the USCCB's adoption of the document "Co-workers in the Vineyard of the Lord"?
