It seems nebulous to me.

Online it says legal, social, or religious union.

I was asking about the definition of marriage universally. Native Americans had a society without many of the things we have-assets, hospitals (part of marriage is visitation rights) -so what did getting married mean in their culture before the Europeans came?

Surely you have your own concept of marriage, yes?

What do you mean when you use the term marriage?

Right. "Society" has an ambiguous stance on marriage.
How do you, the person, define marriage?

Sky, you've been asked at least 4 times to give your definition of marriage.

Why don't you do this first and then we can chat further?

Do you see why we are confused about why you won't answer this?

We don't know what your confusion is.
You answer questions with evasive one liners.
That's not a discussion.

I'm just wondering sky, if you think you have ever influenced someone on the boards to whatever view against the church you think you present?

So nuns in a convent have a marriage?
A father and son living together have a marriage?
Fraternity brothers living in their frat house are married to each other?
