Healing is done by God, through God, for the Glory of God. We pray to Saints and Angels to intercede to God, for our petitions.

The devil and demons are liars. God does not work miracles through them.

Can demons heal you?

Spiritually - No

Physically - Yes

However, the physical healing that they perform is strictly a bargaining tool in which they try to deceive you out of your eternal salvation or state of grace.

I concur.

The devil is also a complete legalist so he could save you from cancer but let you get hit by a car so he can collect your soul.

I'm not exactly a demonologist, but here's my two cents. A demon cannot heal you. They can present an illusion of healing, but that's it. In other words, demons can cause physical harm (I believe), but they won't tell you that they're the ones causing it. They will stop doing so, providing the illusion that they are healers, but all they really did was stop hurting you.

Demons can most certainly heal a physical ailment.

The Church warns against having recourse to them or witches. Both would have a collection of herbs that could physically heal you.......but at an enormous cost. As the previous poster mentioned, Lucifer would heal you right up, and then let you get immediately run over by a car!

Demons can certainly heal people if its in their best interest, Bible even warns of recognizing where these things come from.

If you look at all the 'faith healers' out there, they do indeed heal people, thats why they are so popular and have millions of people following them, but its their message where the demons benefit, the people may be healed, but what is the source of that healing, they assume it is from God, but its not, thats where the problem is.

In order for a deception to actually work, it has to be pretty convincing, if none of these people were really being healed, they would not be successfully drawing many people away from God and away from the truth.

Even Jesus had to perform miracles and heal in order to convince people of who he was, words and smooth talking alone is not enough, same thing for the demons.

Christ's power is always greater no matter how you look at it. In the holy bible it said a person was possessed by a demon and Jesus Christ removed the demon(s). It is always best to go to Jesus Christ with problems.

He's a fallen angel and has the same powers as angels i think. I dont think angels can heal by their own powers, only when they ask God.

If you are referring to miracles, no the demons cannot perform this activity that belongs only to God. If the devil has this power to heal he would have done this long ago and would have done this to millions so he can have them on his side. I have read Phil19304 statement and Phil you have the correct assessment as the demons can use their knowledge of God to get to us. The demons can use the truth to get our attention. However if the truth of what the demon uses helps us to get back to God i think the demon is the one who loses.

Demons can hurt you or heal you.

There is a lot of witchcraft that involves the invocation of demons and use of herbs, charms, and amulets for one's own healing. The Catechism even mentions this specifically not give recourse to them even if it meant your health is healed

I'm sorry but I really don't believe in magic amulets. If people get healed that way I think its just because of a placebo effect and I think the catechism warns against it because its a load of nonsense that will draw you away from God towards superstition.

It is important that people are not deceived. For example, the Left Behind series teaches that Satan can heal.

It also teaches that Satan can revivify the dead (revivify=what Jesus did with 4-days-dead Lazarus).

It also teaches that Satan can resurrect at least one dead person. In the book, that is his Antichrist representative.

Left Behind Book 7 spoilers.
Left Behind Book 7 discussion (part 2 of 2). (Part 1 of 2 is more about the characters who came their erroneous conclusions, rather than the conclusions themselves.)

In my opinion, the books contain errors. This happens to be a large error.

It's rather worrisome that Catholics are getting lured into that line of thinking too.

I think he can make someone ill and then appear to be healed so he can use them in some way.
